Job Summary:
The ideal candidate is a problem-solver who thrives in dynamic environments, responds quickly to technical issues, and ensures critical testing programs run smoothly. You will be the go-to expert in diagnosing, triaging, and resolving propulsion system issues in real-time, helping keep cutting-edge vehicle fleets on the road and performing at their best.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide first-line engineering support for prototype vehicle fleets across multiple locations.

Diagnose, triage, and resolve propulsion system issues quickly to minimize downtime.

Support critical testing schedules by ensuring all vehicles are operational and test-ready.

Work closely with test engineers, mechanics, and R&D teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

Historical review of vehicle/fleet data, parsing and interpreting vehicle logs and their physical implications.

Define/capture required data points to validate issue resolution.

Maintain fleet readiness reports, service logs, and issue tracking documentation.

Assist with software/firmware updates or configuration changes related to propulsion systems.

Be prepared for on-site support, including occasional travel to remote test locations.

Contribute feedback and data from the field to support continuous improvement of the fleet and propulsion technologies.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required:
Technical Skills:
-
Hands-on experience with vehicle propulsion systems (EV, hybrid, or ICE).

Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills – electrical, mechanical, and software-related.

Familiarity with CAN tools, diagnostic equipment, and fleet monitoring systems.

Understanding of vehicle control systems and ECU functionalities.

Ability to interpret technical documents, schematics, and logs.
Experience:

5+ years of experience supporting prototype or production vehicle fleets, ideally in a test or development environment.

Proven track record of resolving field issues and supporting high-pressure testing schedules.

Experience working in a multi-disciplinary automotive engineering team.

Background in supporting vehicle launch or development programs is a plus.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
