Position: Validation Engineer

Job Summary: 

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in test rig specification, setup, instrumentation, and test execution, as well as strong capabilities in Design Verification Plan (DVP) creation, test case development, and performance/functionality sign-off. You will play a vital role in verifying product integrity and ensuring alignment with technical requirements through structured testing and analysis.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Define and implement test rig specifications, including mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation requirements. 

  • Oversee test rig setup, calibration, and validation readiness for systems or subsystems. 

  • Develop and maintain Design Verification Plans (DVPs) and test cases based on functional and technical requirements. 

  • Conduct component and system-level tests to verify functionality, performance, durability, and compliance. 

  • Analyse and document test results, provide assessments against DVP objectives, and support issue resolution. 

  • Collaborate with design, development, and system teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage and traceability. 

  • Manage test planning, scheduling, execution, and tracking through all product development stages. 

  • Support sign-off activities by delivering evidence-based validation data and verification reports. 

  • Ensure all validation activities comply with safety standards, industry regulations, and internal processes. 

 

Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required: 

 

Technical Skills: 

  • Strong expertise in test rig design, build, and instrumentation for component/system validation. 

  • Hands-on experience with DVP creation, test case development, and execution. 

  • Solid understanding of validation and verification methodologies in automotive or high-tech engineering. 

  • Familiarity with data acquisition systems, sensors, signal conditioning, and test software tools. 

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical requirements. 

 

Experience: 

  • 3–8 years of experience in Validation engineering, preferably in automotive, aerospace, or industrial sectors. 

  • Proven background in managing DVP&Rs, executing validation plans, and delivering verification outcomes. 

  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (design, systems, quality, etc.). 

 

Soft Skills: 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

  • Excellent communication and reporting capabilities. 

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities. 

  • Comfortable working in lab/test environments with hands-on tasks. 

 

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
