Job Summary: 

The ideal candidate is passionate about leading cross-functional squads, translating complex technical requirements into actionable backlogs, and driving product development from concept to delivery. This role demands strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with a deep understanding of electric propulsion architectures and delivery programs.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Own and articulate the product vision and delivery roadmap for EV propulsion systems. 

  • Lead one or more Agile squads, ensuring alignment between business goals and technical execution. 

  • Define, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog, ensuring features deliver high value and meet acceptance criteria. 

  • Serve as the voice of the customer and engineering leadership, translating stakeholder needs into user stories and epics. 

  • Collaborate with systems engineers, software architects, and integration leads to align product goals with technical feasibility. 

  • Lead sprint planning, review, and retrospectives in collaboration with Scrum Masters and engineering managers. 

  • Manage cross-functional dependencies, risks, and integration points across propulsion components and systems. 

  • Ensure timely and quality delivery of system-level features through proactive issue resolution and roadmap ownership. 

  • Act as a mentor and leader within the product team, promoting Agile best practices and continuous improvement. 

Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required: 

 

Technical & Domain Expertise: 

 

  • Deep knowledge of EV propulsion system architecture and delivery, including electric machines, inverters, and battery integration. 

  • Strong understanding of Agile principles, product lifecycle management, and systems integration workflows. 

  • Experience in embedded systems, control strategies, and software-hardware integration within an EV environment. 

 

Leadership & Communication: 

 

  • Demonstrated experience as a Product Owner or Agile leader in a technical product domain. 

  • Exceptional stakeholder management and team leadership skills across engineering and business functions. 

  • Ability to balance short-term delivery with long-term strategic planning. 

 

 

Tools & Methodologies: 

 

  • Proficiency in Agile tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps). 

  • Familiarity with systems engineering processes and standards (e.g., ASPICE, ISO 26262, or equivalent). 

 

Experience: 

 

  • 5+ years of experience in automotive or high-tech product development, including 2+ years in a Product Owner role. 

  • Track record of delivering propulsion or electrified vehicle systems from concept through to launch. 

 

Education: 

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field. 

  • Agile certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner – CSPO) are highly desirable.
