Job Title: Principal (NX) CAD Engineer – BIW, Body Interior/Exterior & Doors

Job Summary: 
We are seeking a highly experienced Principal CAD Engineer with deep expertise in Body in White (BIW), Body interior/exterior, and Door systems using Siemens NX. This role involves end-to-end ownership of CAD deliverables, supporting cross-functional engineering teams and ensuring innovative, manufacturable designs that meet structural and aesthetic requirements. 

 

Key Responsibilities:  

• Lead CAD design for BIW, Body interior/exterior, and Door systems using NX. 

• Develop and manage detailed 3D models and 2D drawings with high accuracy and compliance to GD&T standards. 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including CAE, manufacturing, and quality to ensure robust product development. 

• Support DVP&R, DFMEA, and tolerance stack-ups throughout the development cycle. 

• Conduct design reviews and mentor junior CAD engineers. 

• Ensure deliverables meet timelines, quality standards, and project goals. 

 

Required Skills: 

• Expert-level proficiency in Siemens NX (modelling, drafting, assemblies) 

• In-depth experience with BIW, Body structures, exterior/interior trims, and Doors systems 

• Solid understanding of automotive manufacturing processes and materials 

• Proficient in GD&T, tolerance analysis, and release documentation 

• Familiarity with PLM tools like Teamcenter 

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and mentoring abilities 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering 

• Experience working with global OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers 

• Knowledge of lightweight materials and cost optimization strategies
