Job Summary:

The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in Vehicle-in-the-Loop (ViL) or Propulsion-in-the-Loop (PiL) testing, and excels in data logging, signal analysis, and performance verification. They are expected to contribute significantly to design verification activities, helping drive informed engineering decisions through structured data interpretation and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct ViL/PiL testing of EV propulsion systems to capture vehicle performance, control behavior, and integration status.
Perform data logging setup, management, and acquisition from vehicle systems, ECUs, and test equipment.
Analyse large datasets using structured approaches to identify anomalies, validate system performance, and support design verification.
Work closely with validation and systems engineers to define test requirements, verify outcomes, and document observations.
Support Design Verification Plan (DVP) execution through effective data interpretation and feedback loops.
Develop and maintain data analysis scripts and tools (MATLAB, Python, etc.) to accelerate reporting and troubleshooting.
Collaborate cross-functionally to track and resolve issues using analysis insights, contributing to root cause investigations.
Present technical findings through clear reports and visualizations to engineering teams and stakeholders.
Help ensure vehicle propulsion systems meet project targets for performance, efficiency, and reliability.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required:

Technical Skills:

Proficient in data analysis and signal processing (using tools like MATLAB, Python, or similar platforms).

Solid knowledge of CAN-based communication and logging tools (e.g., Vector CANalyzer/CANape, INCA, ETAS).

Hands-on experience with ViL/PiL test environments and vehicle instrumentation setups.

Understanding of EV propulsion components (e.g., motors, inverters, batteries, BMS) and their integration.

Design Verification & Testing:

Experience working with Design Verification Plans (DVPs) and executing vehicle/system-level validation activities.

Strong capability in interpreting system performance, identifying trends, and correlating test results to requirements.

Soft Skills:

High attention to detail and a methodical, structured approach to analysis.

Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting technical data clearly.

Team-oriented with a proactive attitude toward collaboration and problem-solving.

Experience:

5+ years of experience in a vehicle integration, validation, or data analysis role, preferably within the EV domain.

Proven ability to turn raw data into actionable engineering insights.

Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Data Science, Automotive Engineering, or related field.

Additional training in data science, controls, or vehicle systems is advantageous.
