Position: Cyber Security Engineer

Location: Coventry, UK/ Remote from India

As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will be part of the core Cyber capability for our projects and will support the Chapter to

define and develop strategy, processes and platforms for our Autonomous, Connected, Electric and Shared architecture

of the future. This position will sit within Vehicle Platform and will work closely with the wider Powertrain/Chassis/Body

Domain Chapters, Squads & Technical Specialists to ensure delivery onto vehicle programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Cyber Security activities for chassis features and technologies in accordance with the internal OEM 
     lifecycle.
  • Lead the implementation of embedded cybersecurity solutions including Secure Boot, Secure Software Update, 
     Software Authenticity and Code Signing.
  • Specify, configure and support integration of Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) and cryptographic services.
  • Review supplier cybersecurity technical solutions and ensure compliance with project cybersecurity 
     requirements and industry standards.
  • Liaise with the various interfacing departments such as ADAS, motion and powertrain to ensure a seamless 
     embodiment of cyber security requirements.
  • Engage with Subject Matter Experts, Lead Engineers and Technical Specialists to drive cultural change and cyber 
    security awareness within the team in pursuit of technical excellence and efficient delivery.
  • Support test engineers regarding Verification & Validation of cyber security requirements & goals.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required:

Essential:
  • Good understanding of cryptographic concepts including symmetric and asymmetric encryption, hashing, 
     digital signatures, certificate management and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
  • Practical experience with Hardware Security Modules (HSMs), cryptographic accelerators or secure elements.
  • Experience with ISO21434 and applying a Cyber Security lifecycle within industry e.g Automotive, IT.
  • Experience working with suppliers to define, review and deliver cybersecurity solutions.
  • Excellent team-working, Organization and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work to a high standard.

Education:

 

• Degree or equivalent education in Automotive/mechanical Engineering or relevant disciplines.
