Job Summary: 

The Ideal candidate would be a highly motivated Program Delivery Engineer to support the Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) programme. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management, and leadership to ensure successful end-to-end delivery of vehicle programmes. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, self-drive, and a deep understanding of EV engineering and automotive development processes.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Support the end-to-end delivery of Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) programmes from concept through to production launch. 

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, quality, and suppliers to drive programme objectives. 

  • Lead technical issue resolution, ensuring timely closure of AIMS concerns and proper documentation via 8D and other quality tools. 

  • Manage and update programme metrics, dashboards, and documentation, ensuring visibility to leadership and stakeholders. 

  • Act as a single point of contact for programme-related technical issues, maintaining clear and proactive communication channels. 

  • Drive system and component-level reviews using RMDV (Requirements Management), RDS (Robust Design Scorecards), and DFMEAs to ensure engineering robustness. 

  • Participate in and support gateway reviews, programme timing reviews, and risk assessments. 

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and internal development processes (e.g., CCDS / PDS). 

  • Coordinate and manage change control processes, including evaluation of engineering changes (ECs) and their impact on programme delivery. 

  • Support supplier engagement for part development, validation planning, and problem resolution. 

  • Track and escalate critical path items, blockers, or issues impacting the programme's success. 

  • Assist with the development and implementation of lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives across current and future programmes. 

  • Facilitate alignment between technical delivery teams and programme management, ensuring design maturity at each milestone. 

  • Provide detailed reports and status updates to senior leadership, identifying potential risks and mitigation plans. 

  • Support vehicle build activities, including prototype, pre-production, and launch phases, ensuring readiness of components and systems. 

  • Represent the engineering function in internal and external programme meetings, ensuring technical decisions align with programme goals. 

Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required: 

 

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.  

  • Experience: Experience in program management, project management, or engineering, ideally with experience in the automotive or related industries.  

  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of BEV systems, vehicle integration, and related technologies.  

Proficiency in automotive development tools and processes, including: 

  • CCDS (PDS) – Product Development System 

  • RMDV – Requirements Management & Design Verification 

  • RDS – Robust Design Scorecards 

  • DFMEA – Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis 

 

  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.  

  • Other: Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall), familiarity with industry standards and best practices.
