Job Summary:
The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in machine learning model development, integration with engineering simulations, and practical application to propulsion system delivery. You will be responsible for creating advanced digital tools that accelerate and enhance the performance, accuracy, and efficiency of propulsion system simulations and validation workflows.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement AI/ML models that enhance or automate CAE simulations and analysis processes.

Integrate AI solutions into propulsion system simulation workflows to improve virtual development capabilities.

Identify simulation bottlenecks and apply AI/ML tools to optimize model performance, reduce processing time, or increase prediction accuracy.

Collaborate with CAE, controls, and systems engineering teams to apply AI capabilities in real-world propulsion system development projects.

Leverage large datasets from simulations and test data to train and validate AI models.

Create scalable frameworks for continuous improvement and learning of deployed ML models within CAE environments.

Ensure traceability, validation, and robustness of AI-enhanced tools to support vehicle development milestones.

Keep up-to-date with advancements in AI/ML technologies, applying relevant methods such as supervised learning, neural networks, reinforcement learning, etc.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required:
Technical Skills:
-
Solid foundation in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) principles and model development.

Proficiency in Python, including ML libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Keras, etc.

Experience with CAE tools and simulation frameworks (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, GT-SUITE, AMESim, or in-house solvers).

Ability to build and integrate ML models within existing simulation pipelines or co-simulation environments.

Familiarity with data processing, feature engineering, and model evaluation techniques.
Domain Knowledge:

Understanding of propulsion systems (EV/Hybrid/ICE), system behaviour, and key performance indicators.

Experience applying AI in an engineering environment, preferably within the automotive or aerospace sector.
Experience:
-
4+ years of combined experience in CAE simulation and AI/ML model development, ideally with a focus on propulsion or mechanical systems.

Hands-on experience in projects involving AI/ML deployment for virtual validation or predictive analytics.
Soft Skills:

Strong analytical and creative thinking skills to apply AI in complex engineering contexts.

Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and presenting technical results.

Initiative-driven with a passion for innovation and digital transformation.
Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Mechatronics, or a related field.

Additional certifications or training in AI/ML or Data Engineering are highly desirable.
